Travel Diary : Trim Castle Hot Air Ballooning , County Meath 2003
" Rising up from the mist, we launched and took flight. Sailing over the historic medieval town of Trim, we continued our piloted flight over the beautiful Boyne Valley County Meath. Soaring over the magnificent turrets of the castle, the finest and largest Norman castle in Ireland, the journey continued over breathtaking views of the countryside , rivers, canals, bridges and walkways below. As I looked up, I was transfixed by the enormous kaleidoscope of coloured silk balloon above me. I have captured this image on another type of silk, this time in a silk scarf, in homage of the magical sunset and ballooning experience.”
