Travel Diary:  Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti, East Africa . January 2011.

“Ngorongoro is the world's largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcano, a protected World Heritage Site, part of the Serengeti ecosystem. Now this three million year old crater is a lush paradise, home to a huge variety of birds and wildlife who live harmoniously in this unspoilt wildlife sanctuary. As we hung out over the roof of the safari jeep, with our binoculars, bouncing left to right and clambering side to side to get the best aspect, the views were breathtaking. More than we ever could have imagined. Herds of zebras, rhinos, hippos, buffalo,Impala, lions, leopards and crocodiles. The place was teeming and buzzing with excitement. An unforgettable experience. One that will stay with me forever ”
